Samovars II

We saw some giant-sized samovars in Bukhara.

Mr. Wonderful is standing next to one that was brought to Bukhara from Tula in 1810. It is coal heated, holds 100 liters of water, and is said to take 40 minutes to boil.

The fish spout was particularly lovely.

The samovar on the left, also in the "Ark" [the fortress, where the Amir of Bukhara threw British diplomats into a pit before ultimately killing them], featured the first double spout that I've seen.
